Great staff from the moment we arrived… nothing was too much trouble. The views from the terrace are stunning and it was great every morning enjoying them over breakfast and the evening meal. The standard of food was a level above and the evenings were enjoyed at the outside bar in the courtyard style entrance. The hotel is up on a hill that is accessed through a medieval castle and the streets are particularly narrow which made the stay even more romantic. Easy access to the coast roads which are slow with sightseeing tourists or you can nip in to Naples on the toll road which is 40 minutes. Lots of walkers enjoying the hills. Wouldn’t hesitate staying again at this special privately owned (6 generations) gem… old school elegance that you struggle to find this days.

What a beautiful hotel out of the way, only a few miles from Vietri Sul Mare and the start of the Amalfi coast. The hotel is just beautiful and the views are breathtaking. It's in a small hamlet but there are 3 (really reasonable and tasty)restaurants that are walkable, and a cute little village shop for water , beers, snacks etc. The hotel were so helpful with calling taxis etc. The hotel breakfast was lovely , made even better with the view over the hills. The pool was fab. Just a beautiful few days in a lovely hotel. We got there on train from Naples to Salerno and then organised a taxi , we didn't have a car as we were happy to just chill near the hotel apart from a couple of days out which is when we just used a taxi to get to the coast and ferries.

Nestled in the tranquil mountains above Ravelo and the Amalfi coast, Hotel Scapolatiello whispered to us the decadence of a bygone era while exuding every inch chic vintage charm. Round every corner of this lovely gem of a hotel was a new delight. The abundance of butterflies, the chysantheums, the Serin swallow-like birds who would occasionally swoop and take sips from the deliciously cool pool. Nothing was too much trouble for the fantastic, friendly staff. From the pool boy getting our sun longers and complimentary towels, the waiters at breakfast and reception staff. Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight. Try the pizza in the restaurant 150m away. Yummy and only 4 Euros a pop.

Our suite was a good size, great layout, had all the facilities we needed including two bathrooms (one with a bath and the other with a shower), a very comfortable bed and cot for our baby. A huge balcony with seating and a hot tub. And most importantly an exceptional view. The rest of the hotel looked out onto the same stunning scenery whether you were dining at the restaurant or swimming in the pool. We ate nearly all our meals at the hotel and enjoyed them all immensely. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and quickly organised whatever our requests were from a massage to dining on our room balcony.

Absolutely everything. Attention to the guests was beyond what you would expect. We got in quite late, but still we're offered a lovely drink by the fireplace that was list just for us. Breakfast was great, filling and fresh. Birthday dinner: food was 5 star. They have organised a cake to our specification as well as amazing service. One of the ninights we were stuck waiting for a bus for two hours, and they had no trouble in picking us up :) Cannot fault anything at all. Very attentive and great customer service 👏
